Nicola’s journey is one of reinvention, resilience and refusing to let circumstances define her. Before discovering fitness, she spent years in the modelling industry, reaching the finals of Miss England, Miss Great Britain and Miss Voluptuous UK, before being crowned Miss Voluptuous England. Her career celebrated confidence and body positivity, but in 2024 she embarked on an entirely new challenge: prioritising her health, fitness and long-term wellbeing.
Having never stepped foot inside a gym before, Nicola threw herself into the 75 Hard challenge and quickly discovered a passion for movement, discipline and personal growth. Just four months into her fitness journey, life delivered an unexpected twist when she became pregnant after previously being told she may never conceive naturally. Rather than stepping away from her goals, she continued training throughout her pregnancy until 22 weeks, demonstrating the determination and consistency that have become hallmarks of her character.
Following an emergency c-section, Nicola faced another challenge: rebuilding her strength, confidence and endurance from scratch. Beginning her postpartum fitness journey just ten weeks after giving birth, she focused on restoring her core, developing functional strength and creating a healthy future for both herself and her child.
Today, Nicola balances life as a solo parent, athlete and dedicated fitness enthusiast. She trains three times a week, runs with her son in a running pram, fits workouts into lunch breaks and has even competed in team and individual competitions throughout her pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Most recently, she secured second place in the mixed doubles everyday category at ASG 2026.
What makes Nicola’s story so inspiring is not the trophies, titles or achievements. It is her commitment to showing up when life is difficult. She represents a powerful reminder that strength is not measured solely by how much weight you can lift. Sometimes, strength is getting up after a sleepless night, navigating parenthood alone and still finding the courage to invest in yourself.
As Nicola continues to build her fitness journey and inspire others online, she embodies everything ReActive stands for: inclusivity, perseverance, authenticity and the belief that every woman deserves to feel strong, capable and confident in her own skin.
