Meet the Founders
Two stories.
One mission.
Built on resilience.
Worn by everyone.
Powered by purpose.
"We created ReActive because we knew movement shouldn’t be a luxury or a punishment. It should be accessible, empowering, and designed for real people—with real challenges, real goals, and real bodies. We don’t all start in the same place. But we all deserve to feel seen, supported, and strong in what we wear."
Jim
Built on recovery. Driven by grit.
In 2009, everything changed. I was 28 when a serious spinal injury turned my life upside down. Multiple surgeries. A brutal new reality: I might never walk again. Everything I knew about movement, independence and strength had been stripped away.
But that wasn’t the end of my story—it was the beginning of a new one. Step by step, I fought back.
Recovery wasn’t linear. It still isn’t. I live with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and permanent nerve damage. Some days are better than others. Most days are tough, some days are brutal. But I move forward, I endure—every single day. I train. I hike. I walk my dogs. I lift. I sweat. Not because it’s easy. Because it’s worth it.
Movement is a gift. And I never take it for granted.
Claire
Fuelled by difference. Every kind of strong.
I’m Claire—co-founder of ReActive. I’m 42, a mother of two, and I was diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life. That diagnosis explained a lot—decades of masking, sensory overwhelm, and feeling like the world wasn’t quite built for me.
For as long as I can remember, training was hard to stick with. Not because I didn’t want to move—but because everything about it felt wrong. The lights. The noise. The textures. The clothes.
As part of mine, and many others neurodivergence, I have sensory processing disorder, and most activewear just didn’t work for me. It chafed. It clung in the wrong ways. It made me overheat. It itched, squeezed, swished, agitated. The smallest discomfort could completely derail my motivation, sap my energy, and send me back to square one.
I didn’t want flashy logos or gimmicks—I wanted softness, stretch, safety. I wanted gear that felt like a second skin, not an obstacle. And I knew I couldn’t be the only one.
